Admissions Information

Faith Baptist Church established its Faith Christian Academy ministry in accordance with the Biblical principle that God has called the local church to assist the Christian Home in fulfilling its God-given responsibility to provide life training for the family. In other words, God has given parents the sacred trust of educating their children according to the Holy Bible, the Word of God. God, also, has commissioned the New Testament Church to assist the parents in this regard.

The chief purpose of the Faith Christian Academy (FCA) ministry is to provide assistance to families in membership with Faith Baptist Church. The role of the church-school is to help parents fulfill the Biblical command to provide a Biblically based education for their children - one which integrates God’s principles for life and living within its educational philosophy and core curriculum. In so doing, the primary aim of the school ministry is to impart true wisdom into the hearts and minds of both parents and children. Such wisdom is personified in the life of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Hence, the school ministry seeks in every way to teach and to encourage each member of the family to build into their lives the character traits and values exemplified by the life of Christ as revealed in the Bible.

Faith Baptist Church is Biblically obligated to provide for the spiritual needs of its membership. However, as a ministry to the Christian home at large, non-member families may be assisted providing: (1) that Faith Baptist Church is able to assist, (2) that the non-member family realize their Scriptural responsibility to support the school ministry as set forth in this Agreement (Financially, Spiritually, & Personally), and (3) that the pastor of the non-member family grants a letter of approval indicating his leadership for the family’s participation in the ministry of Faith Baptist Church.

This document outlines the basic agreement so essential between the parents and the church-school ministry. All participating parents have the God-given responsibility to support the church-school ministry. This support includes: (1) Financial Support as outlined below; (2) Spiritual Support, through constant prayer for the church-school staff and overall ministry program; and (3) Personal Support as outlined in the Parent’s Support Pledge, which is included in the formal enrollment materials.

A lack of support in the areas mentioned above constitutes a broken Agreement. It must be clearly understood, when parents fail to support the school ministry, they withhold from the ministry the necessary means for it to properly serve the needs of the family. In such case, school staff will endeavor to cooperate with the parents in the best interest of the family; but where no solution is found, and when insufficient parental support is evident, Faith Baptist Church reserves the right to dismiss a student from its school ministry due to lack of parental support. In this regard, the school ministry will provide parents the opportunity to voluntarily withdraw their child prior to any dismissal action by the school ministry.

FCA seeks to maintain membership in the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and its state chapter, Mississippi Association of Christian Schools (MACS). In view of the necessity for separation of State from Church, and because of the extreme philosophical and religious differences between “public education” and Christian education, Faith Baptist Church does not seek accreditation by, or funding from, any governmental agency. However, utilizing the Biblically based curriculum published by Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E..), widely known as the “School of Tomorrow Program,” this ministry does endeavor to provide the highest possible academic standards. Moreover, when deemed advantageous, the school ministry may seek recognition by an independent, private accrediting organization. FCA does not discrimiate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.
